Hi all, Just updated to Firmware 4.1 build 1259 tonight. Wireless Is for mobile devices."I just got my Roku 2 XS and it has this version of firmware. That is one of the most ridiculous statements I have ever heard. Hopefully they will own up to this issue and fix it in the future.
My Roku2 reset while trying to load an Amazon Instant Video. The problem is the router not their device (that reboots!! If you do what they suggested and change the channel, you may be surprised.
On a console, make sure a patch or other downloadable content (DLC) isn’t being downloaded while you’re trying to watch a movie.
If your buffering problems still persist, reset your home network and then check your download speed using a free Internet speed test.
Netflix is definitely not disconnecting you, but it does have minimum limits that will maintain a transmission.
What I meant to stress is that your SB6141 is probably not at fault, it likely has to do with your connection and the traffic between you and whichever Netflix center you connect with... if it doesn't have anything to do with congestion in just your neighborhood, or something in your home. I am still interested in the solution to his problem though, and all things related to Netflix.
The older I get, the more my Friday nights involve watching Netflix at home with a bottle of Maker's Mark and a box of Oreos.
Netflix is a big part of my life, and I'm not alone.
But some of the other type channels, like the Russian English news or the Tech type shows it basically don't work.
Most of it has to do with the connection speed you pay for, and your ISP's ability to deliver the speeds they promise.
But, some of it also has to do with an ongoing feud between Netflix and a handful of popular providers, some of which are refusing to upgrade their peering connections to major backbone providers in a move to try and get an extra buck out of Netflix for a direct connection.
Not to mention capacity/usage within your neighborhood or home.
Some cable company customers get preferred service, but Charter hasn't signed that agreement with Netflix. It's not that Netflix disconnects me from their service.
